Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem Special #27, Onitsura's Valley Stream

 Inspirational haiku by Onitsura

tani-mizu ya ishi mo utayomu yama-zakura

the wild cherry:
stones also are singing their songs
in the valley stream

 My humble offerings

~ 1 ~

swift flowing water
always knows the way down hill
in the valley's depth

~ 2 ~

at river's edge
old man sings a water song
of rocks life and time

~ 3 ~

the wild cherry
what does it know of travel
the rock songs don't tell

~ 4 ~

the wild cherry
grows at will in the valley
untamed by bees

~ 5 ~

the wild cherry
envy of the orchard
longs for love

~ 6 ~

wild cherry
in the cleft of the valley
what is your secret

~ 7 ~

valley stream
the swift flow of snow melt
regales moose and goose

~ 8 ~

by the fishing stream
water bugs flit and fly
spider casts her net

  5. Thank you all.

The funny thing is I didn't feel inspired at all, and really struggled writing these. As I did so, I thought they weren't good. A while later I reread and thought they were OK.

I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement.

    Cheers!

  6. #6 is exquisite! I am always in awe of your ability to write so many verses, each with a different take on the prompt! Kudos! I too did not feel inspired by this prompt but ended up writing two!
