Old man blows his horn
Music flows out from the bell
Makes a joyful noise
~ : ~ : ~
Once I was depressed
Then played at a festival
Music was my cure

Planted long ago
The seed became a stout tree
Today it brings joy

Old man's greatest joy
To see all his grandchildren
Growing strong and free
Music flows out from the bell
Makes a joyful noise

In early Springtime
Moose stare in wonder

ReplyDeleteHere on earth -- love that line ^^ i think it's great too how personal your first 4 haiku are.. it's good to be appreciative of the things and people that bring you joy ^^
What a wonderful set of haiku, every one a little treasure, but this one (to me) is the greatest diamond you have shared here:
ReplyDeleteMoments of joy
Little hints of heaven
Here on earth
Thank you JzB for sharing these with us.
Is Paul Krugman your greatest joy? You gave him top billing, before your trombone, your grandchildren and even the elk! :D

ReplyDeleteThank you. You have wise thoughts.
WabiSabi -
Krugman gets top billing today.
The kids - every other day.
Music fills the spaces.
Elk are just for fun.
Cheers!

Fun and joyful. You're not going into my Wordpress spam filter, but I am checking it daily because other fabulous writers are (for no discernible reasons). And I'm glad you comment--I like to comment a lot, too. It's nice for writers to find community.
ReplyDeleteI like them all, each one a little glimpse of you. Life is full of flowers when we know how to look. Thank you for sharing your bouquet
ReplyDeleteLovely, the joy just flows...lovely thank you :)
ReplyDeleteWhat? No fruit on that tree? Only joy? :)
ReplyDeleteA Joyful Haiku
I imagine that a cavorting elk is a sight to behold. No wonder the moose stare in wonder!
ReplyDeleteI can almost see the moose standing in wonder :D but "little hints of heaven" really is a gem itself. Wonderful set!
ReplyDeleteA joyful set ... loved it :-)
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I feel like that moose standing in wonder
ReplyDeleteI love the way you tied in other words we had for the week. Wonderful! :-)

Beautiful set of Haiku. These two are my favourites:
