Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Mellow Yellow Monday

There is not a lot of Yellow in S.E. Michigan this time of year.  I lifted this photo from the archives.

Granddaughter Rebekka and I made a gingerbread house at her school a couple of years ago.  Ours is second from the left.

Haiku Heights - prompt 32 - Mirage

I
You think you see it
But you can't get close.  How can
You reach that far place?

II
Not an illusion -
A stolen peek into an
Other universe.

III
A freak wormhole that
Gives a view to somewhere else.
How can we escape?

IV
What is this image?
A hidden doorway opens.
Who will enter here?

Six Word Saturday

Keen, wow, tasty - good for you.

We just discovered Quinoa (pronounced keenwah) a South American plant with grain-like seeds.  It has a delicate flavor, with a nut-like overtone that isn't too bland, and it seems pretty versatile.  It's high in both protein and fiber.

Sensational Haiku Wednesday - Elation

ELATION

I

Find the perfect love:
ELATION! Closest thing to
Heaven here on earth.

II

I've been invited
To work on a great project:
Blogging has paid off!

Regarding the project - I might get a few pennies or even a dollar out of it, but "paid off" really has nothing to do with money.

Sorry to be enigmatic, but I'm not prepared to say more than that for the time being.

But this is an exciting opportunity, and I'm definitely ELATED!

Join the fun!

Mellow Yellow Valentine's Monday

A Valentine treat:
Lovely to look at, think on,
And better to eat

Sign from Em's party, Cookie by Samantha (the good looking one in the right side bar pic.)

Tea Party

Granddaughter Emily invited me as her special guest to the Valentine's tea (which was actually punch and cookies) at her preschool.  We had enormous fun.

What could be sweeter
Than a proper Tea Party
With my Emily!

Mellow Yellow Monday

Yellow is where you
Find it.  Sometimes you can find
It in your kitchen.

Putting things away after a recent lunch, I noticed the opportunity for this yummy yellow tableau.

Shadow Shot Sunday - 2/06 - Sunday Music Blogging

Last week, in comments to my pic, Rinkly Rimes offered this.
I hope we soon see the footprints of good friends coming toward your door!

Watch out, you might get what you're after.

Who comes calling at
My door - could it be my good
Friend - the Big Bad Wolf?
