The Lighter Side of JzB

Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem's Special #70, Alexey Andreyev's "Evening sky"

Inspirational haiku

evening sky --
over the city lights
stars hardly seen
(c) Alexey Andreyev

My response

as the sun rises
city wakes and comes to life
stars blink out of sight

  1. Beautifully taken all the way from the night to the sunrise...another nature's wonder for one's eyes and soul. :)
    Happy New Year, JzB!

  2. This is really a haiku of the moment ... well written JzB.

  3. love how the stars 'blink out of sight' ~ Happy New Year to you ~ xxx

  4. I LOVE this! I have actually sat by a window early in the morning and watched the stars blink out! Perfection!

  5. Very cool take on the prompt.

  6. That serene moment of dawn perfectly captured.. how the sun blinds the stars... really a haiku moment

  7. I love this. It relates well to the prompt.
