Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Margaret's Garden of Artistic Interpretations

Today we strive for original poetry inspired by the artist's work.

"Run With Me" 18 x 24

Dark silhouettes lurking
Among intoxicating red poppies:
Are they shadows or illusions?

Supple swaying dancers
Heed the music of the wind
Under klieg of summer sun.

Shall we run there; or stay awhile, sway with them and sleep?

Imaginary Garden With Real Toads

  1. Love the motion and the dance! Beautiful poem.

  2. Either way, you can't go wrong.

  3. Hahha. It would be very hard to resist despite shadows.

  4. There is a stark contrast between the poppies and those shadows.. love how you put the danger into the fields.

  5. A mysterious element added to the fields. Really want t ogo and see what are those shadows.

  6. Great take on the image, and also some vivid visuals wrapped up here, especially the last two stanzas.

  7. Very nice. I vote to, "sway and sleep"

  8. I would love to run through a field like that--so that would be my vote! Let's go...

  9. "Heed the music of the wind
Under klieg of summer sun." I. Love. That.

  10. Love how you wrote movement...I can feel the dance.

  11. I had to look up "klieg"--thanks for that....I love learning new words :-)

This is a fun blog. Light-hearted banter is welcome. Snark is not. If you want to fight, find my other blog.

Play nice, and we'll all have fun.

I like to return visit, when I can - but I need to find you. If you have multiple blogs, please leave a direct link to the appropriate post.
