~ 1 ~
looking like gandalf
does the hermit in his cave
search for the balrog
~ 2 ~
search for the balrog
just in solitude can you
conquer your demons
~ 3 ~
conquer your demons
when the light of your knowledge
leads to true wisdom
~ 4 ~
Does he spout wisdom
or is he just an old fool
living in a cave
~ 5 ~
goose flies with the flock
moose wanders into the woods
tries to find himself
~ 6 ~
spider lives alone
instead of gaining wisdom
she still just eats bugs

I especially like the balrog haiku.
ReplyDeleteYour third haiku is how it is for me. Very insightful. Love moose and spider today ♥
ReplyDeleteI agree that No 3 is most wise.
ReplyDeleteOld fools need to retreat to their caves to recharge their wisdom now and again methinks ;)
I can't help but wonder if Moose will succeed or fail miserably...
ReplyDeleteThe Hermit
I really liked #3 and #4, but it's so hard to resist Gandalf!
ReplyDeleteas a teen, we would go into the woods to party...nearby lived a hermit...I thought he spouted more profound truths the drunker i got..
ReplyDeleteThere is often a thin line between the wise hermit and the old fool and probably on any given day the hermit can cross back and forth many time!! :)Hermit
ReplyDeletea lot of wisdom here, but the Gandalf haiku is definitely my favorite!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 definitely,, but the spider one was great fun
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful post JzB ... all wonderfully composed haiku.
