The Lighter Side of JzB

Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem Special #38, Kyoshi Takahama's 'a gold bug'.

There will be episodes this Summer when posting will be
spotty to non-existent.
I managed to get in one more post
before the current hiatus.

in the warm glow cast by a
firefly in the web

Carpe Diem Special #38

  1. Lovely, enchanting series of firefly haiku. Really like spider's thought.

  2. whimsical and warm... these are wonderful :)

  3. Spider is drawn irresistibly to that warm glow in her web, knowing that a warm meal is waiting!

    Takahama Special

  4. That first haiku is my favorite JzB, I like the balance in that one ... and the fragility of the image you paint with your words. Thank you for sharing.

  5. a 'sparkling' set....I see a smile on that spider....

  6. The third one was a true delight--- have a nice hiatus

  7. I especially love the one about the fairy queen. Hail Titania! Enjoy your breaks from the keyboard.
