Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #245, Listening

today's pop music
good for dancing maybe
listening - not quite

~ 2~

her precious words
after a glass of white wine
as our fingers touch

moose and goose move
deeper into the forest
hunter snaps a twig

web vibrates
orb weaver heeds its call
spins a silken cage

  1. Your second poem hits the sweet spot for me tonight! I too have someone whose words and touch are still important... and a glass of wine never hurts!

  2. I think the moose and goose one is your best today--painting a picture but no telling.

  3. AH that second haiku is gorgeous. I like the romance in that one.

  4. Agree that your second one is so beautifully romantic. Moose and goose is brilliant. Could "hear" them stop frozen in the forest before knowing if the sound means danger. Also love that the spider is listening the vibration.
