Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem # 109 - Early Blossom

Back when we were twelve
The first girl to have nice curves
Lived across the street

~  ~  ~  ~  ~

I was a shy lad
Mothers of early blossoms
Had nothing to fear

~  ~  ~  ~  ~

Those early bloomers
I wonder how they aged - are
They withered flowers

~  ~  ~  ~  ~

  1. A few memories and thoughtful question there!

  2. That's what time does to all flowers, loved the second one!

  3. you are a riot! love the fun twists of your haiku.....

  4. Very different take on 'early blossoms' ... and that's really well done. The third is my favorite.

  5. Jazzbumpa, you crack me up!! Every single day!! Thanks for this. Brings back memories of 7th grade. Good times.

  6. You describe myself at a young age. Yes indeed what happened to those girls, and the lads who where less shy.

  7. Hmmm --- very interesting direction!!! Middle one gave me a smile. Early Blossoms

  8. Such sweet thoughts. I enjoyed these very much and even tried to pay on the word curves some more.

    my old street
    still mentally rounding the curves
    of the early bloomer

    cheers! ; )

  9. Thanks, all.

    Lolly - nice riposte.
or is it a wry post?
