Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

grey light
limns bare ancient branches
Icicle shadow

full moon looms high
sparkling snow crust reflects
world in black and white

crystal moonbeam
shattering icicle prism
stark winter light

coldest moon
harsh light illuminates
bones in the snow

moose and goose
under the full snow moon
hungry together

  1. You've captured the icy moon in all her glory. AND given me a vision of a moose and a goose huddling together to keep out the cold!

  2. I'm partial to the orb weaver today, plying her craft in the light of the heavenly orb.

  3. Very creative and upbeat haiku ~ paints beautiful visual ~ and love that moose and goose are together ~ they will survive ~ ^_^

  4. Really a nice series of haiku on the different faces of the full snow moon. Thank you JzB for sharing.

  5. fourth and sixth are my favourites. Fourth one sent chill down my spine, white bones awesome thought.

    Sixth one is magical.

  6. Couldn't stop smiling about the moose and goose :D
Very picturesque set of haiku, JzB.

  7. What a wonderful collection. Makes me feel chilled to the bones

  8. shattering icicle prism --- that's very pretty!
