Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem # 125 - Wisdom

Sources of wisdom
Knowledge and experience
If you're not a fool

~:~:~

Not automatic
You have to think these things through
Leave out prejudice

~:~:~

Look to the real world
Contemplate the human mind
Not your own navel

 ~:~:~

I have a smart mouth
All this glib-tongue wise-guy stuff
From my wisdom teeth

~:~:~

Abode of the wise man
High upon the great mountain
Where the air is thin

~:~:~

On the mountain top
You can find the wise old moose
Silly goose stays home

~:~:~

In garden flowers
The
wise spider spins her silk web
Nowhere near my broom

[revised]

  1. Love the last one.

You could even remove the word wise and we'd still see the subtle suggestion how wise that spider is.

    deep in the garden
this time spider sets up house
    away from my broom

    cheers!

  2. I often feel a bit overwhelmed by the offerings here....I like so many things about each one....do I have to choose? Espec. fond of the wisdom teeth, and the man on the mountain...

  3. No need to chose
    Like what you want
    Discard the rest

    Cheers!

  8. spoken like a real wise man. a great mix of haiku ^^ and smart spider! lol ^^ my fave is the first one. it's so true!! wisdom's born from knowledge and experience -- but of course, not all the time.. not applicable to fools at all! -- perfectly expressed. ^^
