The Lighter Side of JzB

Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #135, Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival)

my paper doll
mine and mine alone
keep your hands off

dolls on a boat ride
return then to the temple
have a hot party

doll festival
old man stays home alone
drinks shirozake

stuffed animals
fluffy dolls of goose and moose
good bed buddies

festival over
patient spider spins her web
in broken doll's head

doll festival
one day only - the next day
no dolls march forth

~ : ~

  1. doll festival
    old man stays home alone
    drinks shirozake

All alone but the shirozake is still part of the festivities to retain the connection. Nicely JzB!

  2. The last one sure is beautiful.

  3. beautiful haiku. my favorite was the last!

  4. The third one is brilliant :-)

  5. wonderful set.. the ones with the old man and the broken doll &spider, real gems. :)
