The Lighter Side of JzB

Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #156

  1. #1 love the illusion of freedom.....and #5 sad, but at least the old man still has some memory left.....

  2. I do love your old man series JzB.

  3. Such wonderful words and visions for all your haiku. Giggles for kite in moose's antlers but still a lovely read. "bird on a leash"...excellent ♥

  4. Nice. It is fun to see this--I also had the concept of the leash. I don't read everyone else's (except sometimes Kristjaan's) before doing my own, so we thought alike :) And thanks for explaining moose and goose. It is a fun thing to read.

  5. Oh your last two really spoke to me! Your words tickle and provoke thoughtful reflection too! Thanks!

  6. I am enchanted by the tiny living kite, sailing away on a silken thread. Oh, lovely!

  7. Oh the spider one was great today JzB

  8. old man flies a kite
    remembering a time when
    the wind filled his sails

A wonderful series of haiku JzB, but the above one is really my favorite.

  9. Beauitiful sets...esp.
    "spider hatchling
sails off on a silken thread
    a living kite"--Ah,my favorite!

  10. aloha Jzb - i like the connections you make in the first and last ku. birds on a string. and a spider kite. cool. cool. cool. aloha.
