the wild
cherry:
stones also are singing their songs
in the valley stream
stones also are singing their songs
in the valley stream
My humble offerings
~ 1 ~
swift flowing water
always knows the way down hill
in the valley's depth
~ 2 ~
at river's edge
old man sings a water song
of rocks life and time
~ 3 ~
the wild cherry
what does it know of travel
the rock songs don't tell
~ 4 ~
the wild cherry
grows at will in the valley
untamed by bees
~ 5 ~
the wild cherry
envy of the orchard
longs for love
~ 6 ~
wild cherry
in the cleft of the valley
what is your secret
~ 7 ~
valley stream
the swift flow of snow melt
regales moose and goose
~ 8 ~
by the fishing stream
water bugs flit and fly
spider casts her net
swift flowing water
always knows the way down hill
in the valley's depth
~ 2 ~
at river's edge
old man sings a water song
of rocks life and time

Wow! JzB you were on a roll. Nice series of haiku.
ReplyDeleteI like the question you pose to the wild cherry. This is really an exquisite haiku!

oh wow you're obviously inspired! excellent set ^^
ReplyDeletegreat set - each one sets a stage and the scenes are lovely, with action and dialogue galore....
ReplyDeleteThank you all.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is I didn't feel inspired at all, and really struggled writing these. As I did so, I thought they weren't good. A while later I reread and thought they were OK.
I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement.
Cheers!

#6 is exquisite! I am always in awe of your ability to write so many verses, each with a different take on the prompt! Kudos! I too did not feel inspired by this prompt but ended up writing two!
