Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #134, Sae Kaeru (return of the cold)

~1~

early blossoms
eaten by a late frost
no fruit this year

~2~

long cold winter
brief thaw in early Spring
beds apart again

~3~

warm melt remembered
now shoulder like a glacier
fickle lover

~4~

icicles gone
fresh frost glazes moose antlers
goose stays close for warmth

~5~

spun in the warm sun
now she waits patient cold still
frost on the web

~6~
[after Ese]

frigid morning
rising sun illuminates
frost ferns on glass

  3. Oh that is so sad when the frost bites all the blossoms, denying us fruit later on! :) Great post!
