Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #158, Yanagi (Willow)

~ 1 ~

when the willow
whispers to the cool spring wind
do the pine trees listen

~ 2 ~

long haired old woman
tresses drooping to the ground
why are you weeping

~ 3 ~

ask not
for whom the willow weeps
it weeps for thee

~ 4 ~

beneath a willow
an old man stops to listen
the leaves whisper

~ 5 ~

sad willow tree weeps
moose will eat it leaf and bark
goose prefers forbs

~ 6 ~

black widow spider
dowager of the willow
weeps not for her mate
